__NOTOC__ Matthew James Arthur Jeneroux, is a Canadian politician who was an elected member to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta representing the electoral district of Edmonton-South West for one-term.〔(Alberta Election 2012: Riding-by-riding results ). ''The Globe and Mail'', April 23, 2012.〕 He is the current Conservative Party of Canada Member of Parliament in the riding of Edmonton Riverbend after receiving 50% of the vote in the 2015 Canadian Federal Election. Jeneroux was recently named to the Conservative Party of Canada Shadow Cabinet as the Official Opposition Critic for Western Economic Diversification.〔http://www.conservative.ca/conservatives-announce-official-opposition-shadow-cabinet-and-critics-2/〕 As an MLA, he was first elected member of the Edmonton-South West constituency and also the youngest government provincial politician prior to May 2015. He is a father of two young daughters. In spring 2013, one year after being elected, he introduced a private member's bill entitled Compassionate Care Leave Legislation (Bill 203), the first of its kind in the history of Alberta. The bill has gone through royal assent and provides a leave of absence for an employee from his/her employer while taking care of a terminally ill loved one. In just three years, he also had two of his motions pass unanimously in the Legislature Chamber. First, to provide support for playgrounds when new schools for young families are built in the province of Alberta. He also urged the provincial government to conduct a review of the childcare policy in the province.〔http://mattjeneroux.ca/archives/953〕 During his tenure as an MLA in the Alberta Legislature Matt chaired the Standing Committee on Legislative Offices. He also chaired the Capital Region Caucus, Youth Secretariat, and was a member of the Alberta Treasury Board.
